I am a Mother to 2 beautiful girls.
I had an amazing, empowering birth with my first. With my 2nd birth being as traumatic as it was, I quickly found out that there are far too many interventions happening during birth. Having support and being informed of your options should be so important when it comes to having the birth that you desire. I feel that every woman deserves the support she needs during her pregnancy, labor, birth and beyond! I believe that your birth room is a sacred space and should be respected at all times. I strive to build a connection with my clients and embrace them as they begin their journey of having a baby.
Providing emotional and educational support during pregnancy is so important. Making sure that your worries and fears are validated and overcome with evidence based information. Being able to provide unbiased information on most topics related to pregnancy and through infancy.
Supporting you throughout your labor, helping you to experience positive labor vibes. Advocating for my client, encouraging you to fulfill your labor/birth desires, helping you to have a voice during your birth. Providing physical comfort techniques during contractions to reduce the pain levels with each wave.
Whether you're home, in a hospital, or at a birthing center... I will support you in which ever way you choose to birth. You deserve to be supported in every informed decision you make as birthing mother.
After birth it's so important to establish an immediate bond. Initiating skin-to-skin. Ensuring you're able to relax and adjusting well to the new changes in your life. Extended postpartum help is always a great way to smooth the transit
Breastfeeding can be tricky for the first few months. Giving you the education, support and encouragement needed to keep nursing even through those roughs nights.
Holding space for a loss at any age gestation is vital. 1 in 4 women experience loss at some point in their life. Having the ability to reach out to someone who knows what you are going through is so helpfull during those first few days.
